#ThrowbackThursday That night I was so overcome with nostalgia, I couldnt sleep. Thinking of simpler times. Grandmas house. Exes. Pets that have died. My first day of school. People I shouldve kept in better touch with. My all-time favorite shirt whose fate is still unknown. My sweat ran cold. I couldnt breathe. I finally broke free of the paralyzing fear that our earthly lives are finite just long enough to force myself to my feet and stumble through the darkness to the liquor cabinet, collapse onto the kitchen floor and drink straight from the bottle until I became invisible to the ghosts of my past. Woke up 16 hours later, shivering in a fetal position with a crick in my neck. #tbt
