Thunderbolts! Many of us, including myself, will be traveling about 1000 miles, maybe more to attend the Ceremony. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers as we start to make our way to Fort Riley. Here are the Details: Please make sure to bring a valid Government Issued ID Card or Passport. If you do not have one, you may not be permitted to enter Fort Riley. It will be scanned and verified. The Reactivation Ceremony will be held at 1000 HRS at the OLD Post Parade Field near the old Commissary Building, Patton Hall and or In processing (THIS MAY CHANGE). Following the Ceremony there will be a reception at the Riley Conference Center with Cake and Food. All are invited. At 1300 HRS Tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles will be on display in the Battalion Motor Pool for the alumni to explore. If your lucky, you may get to drive a tank through the Wash Rack! J/K :) In closing I received a request from a member of the Family Support Group, they are looking for some Unit Insignia Pins. I am going to donate mine. It is not likely, I will fit into my uniform again. I think its cool to pay it forward, so to speak. If any of you feel that is something you can part with please call me.
