Thursday Devotion: Read Psalms 119:9-16. The Word of God is not only divinely informative, it is also tremendously practical. Walking in the way of God brings the greatest possible result to a person’s life. Nothing in this world compares to the blessing of walking with God. Notice the practical implication of abiding in the will of God. There is a shortage of people of integrity in this world. What does V 9 say about how to live pure? Pay close attention to V 11. We invest in the things that we treasure. How much time and energy do you invest in studying, memorizing, and applying the Word of God? The psalmist illustrates his love for God in Vv 10-11. This type of devotion will manifest itself in the form of a teachable spirit and contentment with the will of God. Focus on Vv 14-16. Do these sentiments describe your attitude toward God’s way? Devote yourself to God’s Word and love Him with your whole life.
