Thursday, November 21, 2013 - 7:00 pm for November Meeting and Program: “Native Plant and Water-wise Landscapes for the Inland Empire.” by Susan Frommer, Landscape Designer, Garden Consultant Veteran and novice water-wise/native plant gardeners alike will appreciate and enjoy this program by Susan Frommer, a local expert in designing gardens for water conservation and fire safety. She will cover some basics on how to start a water-wise garden, what kinds of plants are appropriate for our area, and a primer on short term maintenance and long term sustainability of a successful garden. Susan Frommer has been committed to water conservation in public landscapes for nearly 30 years. She has taught classes/seminars in landscape and irrigation design for UCR Extension, Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, and various local water districts including the Western MWD. She is also very knowledgeable about designing landscapes for fire safety. Her home garden was on the Santa Rosa Plateau Garden Tour for 9 of the 10 years that the tour was held. Where?
