Thursday October 2nd.,2014 Queens Park #Toronto #Ontario I explain to a medical secretary today about how Jacob missed his bus because he went to an after school program and missed his bus. The administration [VP] wanted to send Jacob home on the #TTC #Subway & #Bus I was very upset thinking about the dangers of being on the public transit for my son & others. The medical secretary said something very striking: Unless people visually look disabled/handicapped people assume that everyone is a capable/responsible person. My hopes are for Jacob to be a contributing member of society. I dont want him to be on disabilities. When Jacob is ready and no safety concerns are proven then Jacob will be a regular happy customer riding public transit. Lets get educated on how #Autism fits in our society:
