Thursday Sept 25 I arrived at the hospital at 650 this morning. He was asleep but me going in woke him up. The pain was gone but his back was hurting. The hospital Doctor making rounds came in. One of the doctors asked that a stomach ultrasound be done. Dr Chandra came in and told us he wants him on the blood thinner a bit longer. He said he will be put on A fib meds and probably a blood thinner after leaving the hospital. We was trying to find us a surgeon to decide if Don should have gallbladder surgery. If so he will be taken off the blood thinner 12 hours before surgery. About 440 this afternoon Dr Cole our surgeon came in. Big boisterous Duck Dynasty type person. Love him. He told us the gallbladder is abnormal. There is edema around it. And he believes there is infection inside the gallbladder. Any questions??? I said yes when. He said tomorrow afternoon. They will take him off the heparin at midnight and the surgery will be mid afternoon tomorrow. At this point this is all we know right now. He can not have visitors between 5-7 pm. I am going back at 7. All my postings now will be on this page. I will post after a Doctor comes in and that will keep you all updated. I am receiving so many wonderful messages from yall and I love it. But with doctors coming in and out and visitors and trying to help him I am not getting all the messages answered in a timely manner so I hope this will help. Please know we value you prayers love and friendship and you all mean the world to us. We are so thankful for this diagnosis. The gallbladder can go. He can live without it. But we wouldnt have known about the A fib if the gallbladder hadnt acted up. There was no fluttering or pain in the heart area. We had no idea. I am going back to the hospital now. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We love you all.
