Thurso Open 11th August 2013 We hope that everybody enjoys a great day and help others enjoy their day also. There will be Marshalls on the course hoping to keep play moving with a target of getting everybody round in 4 hours. This might seem a little quick for an Open but a normal time for a 3 ball is 3 hours 20 minutes so we are hopeful that players will try to keep play moving and look to finish within 4 hours. If we go to 4 balls we would expect all groups to be round in 4 and a half hours. To do this we want players to mark their balls and let the group behind drive at the 3rd, 5th, 8th, 12th and 13th holes. We would also like players to wave groups through as soon as they start to search for balls and not wait 5 minutes. Just to make everyone aware that the GUR at the first extends all the way to the Out of Bounds fence. The GUR at the 11th is a mandatory drop to the designated drop zones so as to protect the new grass and it would be preferred not to run trolleys across this new seeded area. All trees’ that are staked are a free drop, which includes the tubed trees. Hope everybody enjoys their day and comes along to the dance in the evening where we will have Papaduke playing after the prize giving.
