Tindal ancestor visits RAAF base via the Katherine Times ra.af/14iaywK A young Irishman who has spent the last 16 month on a pushbike, in a bid to cycle from his hometown of Dublin to Sydney in Australia to raise money and awareness for disadvantaged youth, has made a stint to Katherine and RAAF base Tindal - places that hold a special place in the heart of the 28-year-old. Henry Tindal is an ancestor of Wing Commander Archibald Robert Tindal, the first Australian to be killed in combat in World War II, in the bombing of Darwin on February 19, 1942.
