Tip of the Day: Dont put too much weight behind bodyweight. Unless youre competing in a weight categorised sport, bodyweight is relatively meaningless. YES, as you lose fat, your bodyweight will generally decrease, and over time, there will be a downward trend. However, fluctuations are natural, normal and perfectly okay. Being a little heavier in one weigh in is absolutely fine - shifts in water weight, sodium levels, glycogen, etc. can make your scale weight increase, even though you may have lost fat. The solution? Use weight as a guide, but dont get too caught up in it. Take progress photos. Take measurements. Dont look at weigh-ins in isolation - take averages and use these as your progress guide.
