Tis a grand day for ducks, Rubber boots n raincoats! Spent a number of hours with meself, Barry and Sid (3 Musketeers) today sloshing in the downpour at Mission Youth- MY House raking and filling the trailer with weeds, overgrown ivy vines and such from the hillside with my little pitchfork! The fellas were busy digging more trenches for the gutter pipes and helped them put down gravel too! Sid was awesome cleaning the gutters and sawing huge tree branches which he then sawed down into reasonable size to haul away. We also removed the dang Morning Glory vines from the perimeter fences as they were removed today! Hard work! At times one of us would mutter, Why are we here?!? as we slipped around the muddy trenches and shook off the rain. We would chime together, Its for the kids! I am sure I startled the gal at the store on my way home...clothes, hat, boots, even my face was completely covered in mud from head to toe, ha! Until next week! What fun and for a great purpose!
