Tis the season that everyone is thinking about ... holiday portraits! If youve been hemming and hawing just do it! 30 years from now you wont regret it:) When you do it, whether with a professional or yourself, please, please keep your little loves safe! I know, I know, all those pinterest images of babies wrapped in twinkling lights look soooo cute, but frankly the 2 should never mix! WHY? 1. A high percentage of lights sold in the US are coated in dangerous levels of lead (warning labels are there!) please see the link in comments to a CNN report, and 2. if they are plugged in they have ELECTRICITY surging through them! Two years ago I gave myself a good shock as I was stringing our lights. Seeing wee ones who know no better, be allowed to roll in them, pull on them, and AHHHH!! even put them in their mouth makes me shudder. Please, just dont do it:) But, please do enjoy a couple holiday photos of one of my fave spunky little girls who has been coming to me since birth. Love her smile and her energy
