Title: American River Trails Submitted by: TB Dont go jogging or bicycling here alone at night. Im sure you are all aware of the dangers and creeps. One time my friend and I went jogging around Watt Ave on the American River Trail. It was mid evening and there were fewer people out. We jogged on the north end of the river heading towards CSUS. We were jogging on the bike trails near the river. I saw this little girl standing by the river looking at us while my friend and I jogged by. I glanced once to look at her and I kept looking from the corner of my eyes as we jogged past her. The little girl stood watching us past by. She had nappy long blonde hair down to her waist and she was wearing a bleached clean white gown with daisies on her hair. Her eyes were deep with dark circles. I started to run fast and noticed that my friend was starting to pick up the pace as well. We got to Howe Ave and I asked my friend if she saw a little girl back there and she said that she did. She told me that she stared at the little girl the entire time we past her because she didnt know if the girl needed help. I described to her what I saw and she said she didnt see a girl that matches my story. She told me that she saw a girl standing about a foot in the river with a burgundy gown that was soaked wet. I told her I heard a lot of splashing. We both got scared and jogged on the main street back to my apartment. A week went by and my friend became ill. She ended up staying in the hospital for a week. My friends relatives ug neeb for her at her parents home. I am not sure what happened, but after they ua neeb for her, she got better and was released from the hospital. After her release, she revealed to her parents that she and I went jogging at the American River Trails and we saw 2 little girls playing by the river and in the river. She told them that she saw one a girl and that I saw a different girl, and that she stared at the girl she saw due to concerns and the girls safety. My friend and I never jog at American River Trails anymore. That was my only and last encounter. I refuse to do anything involving those trails.
