To All Bladen Spring Family Members: It is with our deepest regret and sorrow that Vickie and I have finally had to make our decision concerning the future of Bladen Springs. After temporarily closing last Winter to treat a medical condition and help stregthen myself, we had hoped that we would still be able to re-open in the Spring of 2014, if not on a full time basis, perhaps on a smaller scale with limited litters and reduced size. Unfortunately, this will not be the case. Over the winter months we were approached by some fine young couples. One couple was looking to start a kennel of their their very own, while the other have been friends and fellow breeders for many years. We cannot recommend either of them enough. Their love of Labradors and the willingness to provide for their needs is unmatched. Without their support and assistance, we dont know what we would have done. It was during this time that Vickie and I decided that we were going to to take a different path for Bladen Springs. We had the opporturnity to enjoy almost 15 years of providing beautiful Labradors puppies to wonderful families all across the United States which has been one of the most rewarding experiences we have ever had. We want to thank everyone for their kindness and willingness to take on the responsibility of adopting so they too could experience what we believe to be one of the most beautiful and loyal dogs there is, the Labrador Retriever. We also appreciate you sharing your experiences with us. To everyone who adopted their Labrador from Bladen Springs, we can only hope your puppies bring you as much enjoyment as it did for us to bring it you. So please keep sending us the pictures and updates. We truly love seeing them.
