To All my Dear Friends! This little beautiful boy needs urgently help! Even the smallest contribution would make a big difference! Please read his story. Walter was born 06-Apr-2014 and he has a Myotubular Myopathy which is a rare genetic muscle condition, affecting only 500 families worldwide! It causes profound muscle weakness, breathing and swallowing difficulties (constant ventilation and feeding support needed). Cognitive function is not affected - he is very bright and emotional boy, making good progress! He fights for his life everyday, but with love and support we can make it through anything! Since birth he is at the Intensive Care Unit and his parents are hoping to take him home in September when he will be 5 months old. Sadly in Latvia for such babies only ventilator is provided, but not all the other needs for him to survive till breakthrough in science-gene therapy which is just around the corner, next year! He desperately needs portable suction machine, cough assist machine, perfusor for feeding, development therapies and other things.
