To Changeadogslife 7:21pm Oct 15 4 year old, 103 lbs, and in decent health- though Rusty and his buddy (maybe brother) Marco got picked up as strays in Staten Island, its clear these 2 boys had a home in the recent past. But nobody’s come to get them and now BOTH boys are on tomorrow’s euthanasia list! And to make things even more difficult for Rusty, he has been deemed New Hope only meaning he can only be pulled by a rescue. On close reading though, its tough to understand that behavioral eval. He seems to have taken exception to being stared at, maybe he felt the evil eye of the sharp euth needle piercing his soul! Could it be that Rusty, big as he is, was just scared by the whole process and felt he had to make that strange person stand down? I dont know, and Rusty sure cant tell us. So tonight, Rusty (and Marco) need special angels to step up to foster or adopt them. No doubt both boys need an experienced hand but right about now, all Mastiff owners are smiling ‘cause they understand what that’s all about. If you are open minded and dont have the wretched evil eye, start applying to rescues for Rusty (and/or Marco). As any Mastiff person will tell you, you won’t regret it. You won’t find a more loyal, faithful companion! But do it now—ACC won’t think twice about making these boys gone.
