Jesus isn’t a yes, but kind of Savior. He wants us to seek Him first, not second or third. He wants you to come alive to His grace, joy and purpose, and you do that by putting Him first. In fact, Jesus gives this man a greater purpose to live for, saying, ‘your duty is to go and preach the kingdom of God.’ He’s trying to shift His perspective away from a worldly view to a heavenly, eternal view. Don’t be fixated only on your own goals and aspirations and responsibilities. When you say yes to Jesus, you also say yes to His priorities.
