To Changeadogslife Buddy can’t tell us how he ended up by himself in a Forest Hills park, but he sure can tell us that he’s not happy being stuck in a cage at Brooklyn ACC! He barely put up with the poking and prodding in his medical. He’s in decent health—slight heart murmur, 8 year old teeth and the long nails of an inside dog. And when it came time for his Safer exam, he didn’t like the long stare, wasn’t interested in playing tag, really didn’t like his little paw squeezed, wasn’t interested in any toys, food or rawhide. He got a 2 on dog on dog—likely he figured the other dog was there to save him! So Buddy got hit with a New Hope rating because he’s a little Chi who is scared out of his mind, who is mad, and who thinks that every minute he’s sitting in that crate he has to be on guard to protect his life. So Chi lovers, doesn’t that ring a bell with you? Doesn’t every Chi owner know you have to approach a scared little Chi carefully and ease their fright? Well ACC couldn’t manage that and so they’ve put him on tomorrow morning’s euthanasia list. So now little Buddy, the 8 year old Chi really has a reason to fear for his life. He needs someone who looks at his picture and knows exactly what’s going on and who knows that given a stable, calm situation, Buddy will be just fine. Are you that person? Can you foster or adopt little Buddy? Apply to at least 3 New Hope rescues right now—tomorrow will be too late… https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=628146117198271&set=a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553&type=3&theater
