To EVERYONE I know: Say it to yourself or say it openly, to a peace officer - Thanks for what you do for us. There are a lot of people - some even my friends - that are down on Officers right now. I dont think many of you have had the experiences they have had or been in their situations. Some officers ARE bad. Some dont need to be doing what their doing. Some make mistakes in the heat of the event. We are ALL human. There are some that just shouldnt wear the badge and must go. BUT! The overwhelming majority of Officers do the right thing day in and day out. They are the thin blue line between the good, law abiding citizens and the thugs and miscreants of society. Do you think America would be a better place without our Police Officers? Are YOU ready to defend yourself against the criminal thugs of our world - day in and day out, 24-7? Right now, somewhere, there is an Officer standing between you and someone who means to do you harm. That Officer doesnt know you, yet he (or she) is willing to put themselves in harms way for YOU. Our Police are not perfect - but then neither are we. Ive had my share of tickets and Ive butted heads a time or two with them - but they STILL have my respect and admiration. After watching this video - a micro-slice of what can happen at any time - please consider a little more compassion and understanding of our Peace Officers.
