To all my fellow bartenders, past, present and never again ;) please take a breeze through these and see if you can add to it. Feel free to tag others in the thread if you wish because I dont know everybody Snapping fingers, whistling, waving or shouting hey. Ordering 1 drink at a time. Screaming your order. Not having any manners. Looking for table service just because the bartender happens to be passsing by the table. Double ordering. Looking for freebies, discounts or special treatment. Shouting an order out of turn. Not being ready to order when it is your turn. Ordering an Irish coffee/Hot whiskey when the bar is up the walls. At payment time, has a fifty in their hand and asks how much is that? Stepping behind the bar, or clogging the hatch. Whinging about being IDd. Complaining that their almost empty drink has something wrong with it. Asking for a birthday drink the first time they walk into the place. How about serving some who is completely plastered? How about telling someone that theyve had enough? People who lean right over the bar. Handbags and make up, jackets and umbrellas all over the bar. Ordering a drink and disappearing. Saying “I used to work in a bar myself”. Paying with an absolute ball of change. Putting Guinness at the end of the order. People pointing out that you dont seem in great form. People pointing out that you are in great form (whatever is wrong with you) Have I missed anything?
