To all my fellow food truck owners and vendors. I have seen two - TopicsExpress

To all my fellow food truck owners and vendors. I have seen two good trucks have to close due to ordinance issues, some say oh its just Lockhart, and lets boycott the city. But in actuality that gets us nowhere. I know just as good as everyone that Lockhart is not Kyle. What we should be doing is something constructive. My brother and I opened our trailer here and we did so within the ordinances, it took months we had trouble as well. But we didnt stop. I dont think Mad Jacks and Angels want to either. We took a huge gamble getting into a building, especially hearing everyone tell us how its failed for everyone else here, but I had faith that the community was ready for a culinary change and would support us and as I spoke with James Jackson and Valarie Cavazos I hope I can speak for them as I say they feel the same about bringing good food back into the city than just take it somewhere else. I would like to set up a meeting between Us food trailer owners to devise a plan on how we could help structure the portable food establishment ordinance instead of just fighting about it. We have to find common ground somewhere. Thats how we will grow. If you are interested in getting together with us well meet Tuesday October 21st at 6pm. The only way well move forward is together. Thanks!
