To all my friends, tomorrow 10/11/13, Grace and I are leaving for China for 17 days at 4pm. We have been extremely busy with last minute preparations, still half way with packing. Not to mention feeling a tittle under the weather with the vaccinations. I am annoyed with Singapore Airways, 20kg permitted per person and another 5kg hand language. The weather in China at this time of the year, can be as cold as 10, Celsius. One needs to packs warm clothes to stay comfortable and healthy. Trying to exchange Australian money into Chinese Renmibi Yaun, is small denominations is like trying to find dinosaur teeth. Plenty of chinese currency around, but not in small notes, we were strongly adviced by Wendy Wu tour to have smaller notes, as many places outside of Beijing breaking big notes would pose a problem. We are staying in Beijing for 3 days only. After Beijing we will be catching a domestic flight to Xian. then following Xian, we board another flight to Wuham, then a three day cruise of the Yangtz River and many more......In all of the hotels we will be staying WI FI would be availabel we were told, Grace is taking he i phone and will be posting pictures. We cannot wait, what a great break from work, but above all absorbing the famous UNESCO Heritage places. Now guys, I will miss you dearly. Stay safe and well. xoxo
