To all our friends and family across the miles, We have been presented the hardest challenge of our military life. Scott has been given a Year assignment that the family cant go on. In military talk, its called a remote tour. I cant state the location online but it isnt classified so you are welcome to ask me or a family member. Its not the safest of places and definitely not somewhere I can choose to visit whenever I feel like a vacation. For all those that know us well, you know Scott and I are an always together type couple. When you invite one, you get us both. We do everything together. We even grocery shop together. Weve never seen the point of girls/guys night because if we are given the opportunity to go out, we definitely want to do it together. Every deployment hes had in his career has been a struggle but the idea of doubling that time has sucked the breath out of me. The kids are struggling as they are definitely daddys kids. Walker is already super sensitive and Taylor is a daddys girl through and through. The conversation telling them was the hardest we have ever had. I know its not impossible to survive, many do it all the time but for us, its very difficult to see right now. God always has a purpose and even if I absolutely cant wrap my head around what that is right now, I know it is in His hands. Please pray for our strength, our understanding, our patience, and our peace through all of this. Thank you.
