To anyone involved in the Beech vs HHS alumni game..... Guys I - TopicsExpress

To anyone involved in the Beech vs HHS alumni game..... Guys I went into tyke belly of the beast today. I met with HHS coaches and talked with them about this game and although they were good guys and very respectable I literally hated seeing their computer screens. It had all the years that they beat beech and most of them had a screen saver that was a picture of them lighting a beech player up from a game past. I want to beat the shit out of these guys. Yes its for fun and to raise money but dang it I WANT TO WIN and coach Crabtree wants us to win too. Guys when we get this done and we use the locker room pads uniforms and so on lets be really respectful and we all need to say a personal thank you to coach Crabtree and his staff. And please please please turn in ALL gear. If we dont you can rest assured that this WILL NOT happen again. 1. We will not have a cutoff for the number of players. We will take everyone who wants to pay and play. Us older guys(like myself) will not want to play both ways and every down. 2. Everyone who pays will get to play. We want this to be a fun and memorable experience for everyone. Those who are out of town, you will not be penalized for not being at practices. 3. Gridironalumni will refund your money. You will have to go to their website to follow the procedure. 4. I would suggest everyone get back into the weight room. We will do some conditioning at practices, but it won’t be enough for you to be in football shape by the game time. I know we asked for this information before, but I need everyone to send me their 1st and 2nd choices of positions(offense and defense) and jersey numbers. The fair way to do the numbers is by seniority. Example: If a player paid his money and played in 1993 and wants #36 he will get the # over the player who paid and played in 1999. We envision this game being played every year and rotating between Beech and HHS hosting it. The older players will “roll off” and make room for the newer alumni. If you have already paid gridironalumni, you will get your money back. 2. Do not pay any more money to gridironalumni 3. We are going to do this game directly through the schools. We are not going to go through gridironalumni Brandon Claiborne and myself met with Coach Crabtree on Monday to discuss the game. Coach Crabtree has agreed to let us wear the Beech jerseys, helmets, pads and pants. He has agreed to let us use the locker room to change before and after the game. There will be a $75.00 fee per player, that will go directly to Beech football. We are looking at May 10th to play the game. We are waiting on Coach Crabtree and Coach Hatfield to talk on Friday to discuss and finalize all the details. As soon as I hear from Coach Crabtree on Friday, I will send out a practice schedule. Everyone can mail their checks to me. Make the checks payable to Beech Football. I will send out an address later. I will keep up with who has paid and turn the money into Coach Crabtree. You will need to provide your own mouth piece, cleats and girdle(we are working on a deal for the girdles). Please do not communicate on the gridironalumni facebook page anymore. You can communicate with me(my information is below) or the facebook page I set up: Beech Buccaneer Football Alumni
