To avoid post derailment Ill repeat Scotts post and answer here: Dang Dave, you put 80k on a Burgman 650. Wow. I sell mine at 25k-30k to avoid any mechanical issues. If you read the burgman blog sites, a lot of people have cvt issues at the 35k and over time frame. Thats mostly on the 2002-2006 models though. I bought my 08 in March of 11 with just under 37000 (mostly highway commuting) miles. It now has just over 80000. Gentleman I bought it from had it totally decked out with 2 sizes of Givi side cases, black powder coated case mounting brackets, MC Cruise Control, RDL sadde with backrest, etc., and most importantly, RAM mounted cup holder. He even had extra CVT pulley bolts. He also had the extended warranty, good until this September. Cost me $25 to transfer - Best money Ive ever spent! I bought it specifically to travel around the country after I retired. My training wheels was a 85 Honda VT500C which I rode for a couple years before I bought the Burgman. I am enjoying the heck out of this thing although I didnt get a summer trip this year. I just might have to do the Highways 299 - 36 loop to make up for it. Anyway, thats my story and Im stickin to it :-)
