To be in good terms of the US with China makes the mockery of global politics. The craze, for satisfying the national interests by hook and by crook, darks any shiny hopes that Washinton and Beijing would push this rapprochment into detente or long-standing friendship. because, there are apparant clashes between the national interests of these two rivals. Assurely, the Pentagon would try to support from the back door the ongoing protests for more demoratic rights in Hong Kong, if point comes on meeting the national interests. Is Pope a Catholic? America wants to undermine China, because Peoples Republic of China is developing giantly in all aspects: politicaly, strategicaly, economicaly,etc. The US, indeed, would Not put up with the unflinching advancement of China. The then how the relations would be friendly between the world largest investor nation and world largest exporter country. Apart from this, good relations between the veto powers would play out remarkable changes in world politics. Therefore, it is wished hopefuly for a successful thaw between giant powers.
