To everyone with negative opinions about the lip dub: There are - TopicsExpress

To everyone with negative opinions about the lip dub: There are just a few things I would like to inform you of. 1. For everybody complaining that certain groups and/or activities were not demonstrated/recognized in the lip dub: we informed the school that if there was a group or activity you wanted to sign up for, all you had to do was go to either Ms. T, Ms. Cram, or anyone in the television production class for that matter and we would gladly include the program. Not only that, though, but students were welcome to pretty much do anything they wanted as long as it wasnt crude. So when students are complaining that only sports teams were recognized in the lip dub, its because mostly people who are involved in athletics were the people who wanted to be shown... the people who requested to be shown. It is not fair that people bash on the lip dub due to the fact that their activities were not shown, when in reality, you didnt even try to get them shown. 2. For anybody bashing the quality of the video or the filming or even how the hallways are set up: listen. We are very fortunate we were able to even do this. Other schools may be able to hire professionals (especially private schools) to try and make their videos look perfect but as a class we worked extremely hard to make the video look the way it does. We spent around a month coordinating and planning and brainstorming. In reality, this is a type of thing that I think really represents BUHS. We had a fun day, we made a video that I think was pretty cool considering it was done by highschoolers, and I think if you are going to feel negatively about it then you can feel negatively about it to yourself rather than make the people who put so much time and effort into it feel badly. 3. For the people who are complaining that a day of education was taken away by the lip dub day, and you had no choice but to be there, guess what: most of you guys who are complaining about that are the students I see around school not doing their work anyway. For the few students who genuinely did care that they missed a day of education, I am truly sorry that you could not let yourself have a day of fun and bond with your peers. I am sorry if this is all coming off as a little bit sassy, but I think I speak for the other students in my class who are sick of hearing all of the negativity. Thanks a bunch, and next time try and be a little bit more considerate of everybody.
