To fill the incredible new traffic demands, the mighty Norfolk Southern has been reduced to snatching up hand-me-down EMDs. If Internet rumors are true, this includes the three SD70Ms purchased by the fabled NYS&W. I enjoyed the times I spotted them leased out, hauling for the regional Indiana & Ohio on former DT&I tracks, like the time I was playing around with my camera on one parked in Ford Park Yard, in Lima, Ohio, in 2008. I may see them again, but no doubt in thoroughbred black.
