To me, karate is not just about self defense, it is about building character and a positive attitude. This video shows the beautiful character traits of sincere gratitude, appreciation and humility. How beautiful it is to see this young boy sincerely appreciate a gift (a cutting board!) that most American kids would cry over. And, then to see the complete astonishment and tears of joy when he receives the gift he really wanted (a tablet device). What an admirable and kind spirit this boy has. May he inspire each of us cultivate the character trait of gratitude.
