To the editor — I enthusiastically endorse and support Sarah Matheny for the office of Yakima County clerk. After a thorough review of credentials and experience of the candidates running for this office, it is clear that Matheny is best equipped to undertake the many duties and challenges that the position presents. She fully understands the challenges and requirements of county clerk, from her tenure (currently ) as a clerk in the city of Yakima. She has clear capability in multi-tasking, a prerequisite qualification for the job, yet a clear eye for detail regarding each job. She has demonstrated foresight in helping to develop and implement electronic data systems necessary for maximizing efficiency of court document filing and presentation for pending cases and procedures for expediting the process. Additionally she has gained valuable experience in management during her previous management position at Starbucks and demonstrated leadership skills necessary to identifying and resolving difficult personel issues. Sarah Matheny is the clear choice for Yakima County clerk.
