To the folk who share my timeline I wanted to share this message, As we grow older in years and in life we tend to leave behind old ways and beliefs. We see things come to pass that we could have never imagined or believe could even be real. I mean when Barak Obama was announced as the POTUS I quickly referenced in my mind all the times I had listened to celebrities, actors, and big personalities joke about what America would be like if we had a African American President, and all of them, and I mean ALL of them would concede that he would be assassinated. It seemed like not one of them had a plan for us that would enact our faith and strength in the realm of our ethnicity. WE simply sat back and made light of that possibility. I never thought I would see the day where even WITH a black POTUS who clearly has been blocked from doing anything that would bring us out of our decline be so underrated by the people who celebrated getting him voted in. Let me ask you, how many movies were made with Black presidents before Obama? How many movies have you watched of things that took place in the future and you couldnt fathom it being real? Here is a truth untold....The real Government is in Hollywood, because THEY are the ones who dictate, what you eat, wear, drive, where you live, how you speak, and how you act as a people. No one looks at the Government and decides to buy the shoes the POTUS is wearing or wants a house with a dome as a roof. Focus is what we lack and to continue to feed into all these trends and FAKE reality shows will be the corrosion that will eat away at the root of our economic downfall. We as a people spend more money per capita on things that depreciate, while the other side spends money on things that GAIN value. When you shop, do you seek out African American businesses or do you simply go where its convenient. My wife is the only woman I know that instinctively pushes me to shop black whenever possible. Well drive all the way to Atlanta to buy CDs and candles and black soap and other things from black vendors we know in Atlanta. We have yet to find a good and reliable outlet for black businesses here but we stay here because the educational system here is the best. My point, dont complain about knowledge that is readily available to you, and dont complain about your community. It is YOUR community, and you have the power to change it if its not comfortable or has become unsuitable. For those that dont understand, INBOX me and we can discuss it....IJS #skiniminisformetowin
