To the stake holders who will be affected by the Werdens plan, Perrys plan and those in the Four Corners commercial district: Now is the time to have your say and become involved with the direction of the Heritage Conservation District Designation. A fair vote on the issue is needed, and this means that if the Werdens plan has 250 effected properties, then it should also have 250 ballots cast. The same applies to the Four Corners Commercial District and the Perrys plan. This is not rocket science, it is true democracy. However, it is up to you. The stake holders need to be engaged and part of the solution. Can you devote six hours a month to your community and its direction? Can groups of you gather to talk about bettering your neighbourhood? Volunteers are needed to distribute and collect a survey on the Heritage Conservation District Designation. This information will be brought forward to council and help decide which direction the Heritage Conservation District Designation should take. All volunteers must be sworn under oath to not let their bias and opinions be reflected whilst distributing and collecting the survey. For Werden, Perry, and the Downtown Commercial District, the number of volunteers needed are as follows: Werdens Plan 20 volunteers Perrys Plan 8 volunteers Downtown Commercial District. 8 volunteers It is my opinion that every stakeholder should have the right to a say on this issue.
