To those misguided souls that long for harmony and voluminous legislation from the congress, I should remind you that this is neither the design of the institution nor a positive outcome for the citizens. I believe it was Jefferson, Thomas not George, who stated that he preferred at least a year of debate and consideration before the implementation of any legislation. He understood that laws, like regulations and administrative guidelines, result in fewer liberties not more. Inevitably, abundant laws, beyond the basic few, work to the detriment of society and not to its good.
