Today 13 years ago, on Tuesday September 11, 2001, the United States experience one of the most horrific days in history as both World Trade Center towers and part of the Pentagon were flown into by terrorists from Afghanistan led by Osama Bin Laden. I can still remember, that morning I was on the bus heading into grammar school at the Forum School in Waldwick, New Jersey. Our bus driver Mario, who normally had music on had a spanish news station on instead. We did not think anything of it. We got into the classroom and on of my classmates Andrew Coraci told us what had happened and I can still remember the shock on everyones faces. All New York residents could not go home that night and had to stay overnight. Luckily I lived in New Jersey so I could go home. I did not get to see the actual events until I got home from school that day. My oldest brother Bryan went into the city early that morning to help his roommate Brian move into his new apartment. Bryan wound up having to sleep on the floor in his new apartment that night. Thankfully we did not lose anyone during the September 11th attacks nor do we know anyone who had lost anybody. We remember all those who were affected during that horrific day. We shall all salute our troops fighting for our country to keep our country safe. Without our Armed Forces, the United States would not be the country it is today. So we all should say Thank You to all our great troops today. Another great patriotic song that I feel is very appropriate for today. Proud To Be An American: If tomorrow all the things were gone, I’d worked for all my life. And I had to start again, with just my children and my wife. I’d thank my lucky stars, to be livin here today. ‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can’t take that away. And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today. ‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA. From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee. Across the plains of Texas, From sea to shining sea. From Detroit down to Houston, and New York to L.A. Well theres pride in every American heart, and its time we stand and say. That I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today. ‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA. And I’m proud to be and American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today. ‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA. Had another productive day at work today. I did filing with Open Permits and Closed Permits. There were a few Business Certificates of Continued Occupancy and Residential Certificates of Continued Occupancy to file away. I put new tech sheets into the first Building binder, Electrical binder and the first Plumbing binder. I helped Paul review a couple packets to make sure the name lists matched up. I then started a big project with the mayor today as she wants the Case Date, Yes or No, Attorney and If Possible the Number of Meetings from each meeting from 2013-prior. A sunny warm day today.
