Today, 30th November, is the birthday of Gordon Parks, one of the very few african american names in 20th century photography. A photographer, musician writer and film director, Gordons contribution to the field of photography is not just his prolific and eclectic body of work but his life itself as a example and inspiration for young people from discriminated minorities aspiring to break out of their situation.
