Our govt that is committing human rights crimes against asylum seekers is the same govt that wants to cut penalty rates & conditions for workers, that will destroy Medicare if we let them, that is decimating the safety net of welfare for those in need, that has thrown single parents and their children into further poverty, that oversees the cultural genocide and increasing rates of incarceration of First Nations people, that will privatise education and healthcare awarding lucrative contracts to big business without stopping corporate tax evasion. Stand up for #asylumseekers and stand up for yourself. If the government thinks that there are votes in continued cruelty and persecution, that is what theyll do. It is way past time for good people to stand together to stop this profit before people government.
