Today AAR would like to highlight another area rescue group, Rescued Pets Movement. Here is a little more about them: Rescued Pets Movement Inc. is an organization that provides a second chance for thousands of homeless dogs and cats through rehabilitation and transport to forever homes in communities throughout the country that have a need for adoptable pets. RPM works with BARC as a rescue partner. After working with various rescue groups for many years, the founders of Rescued Pets Movement have come to realize the best way to save these dogs and cats is to build solid relationships with reputable rescue groups here and in areas of the U.S. where pet overpopulation isn’t such a dire issue, and then transport the animals to these organizations using our own vans and drivers. Before they’re transported the dogs and cats we move from BARC are fully examined and treated by our partner veterinarians and placed in foster homes with our volunteers until they’re ready for transport. Not only is RPM’s program the best way to save Houston’s shelter pets from euthanasia, but we believe it will be the impetus in helping Houston shelters become no-kill shelters. As of July 7, 2014, by partnering with BARC, Rescued Pets Movement has saved more than 2800 adoptable pets by transporting them to Colorado. Go check out their FB page. Robyn Arouty Photography is a fabulous pet photographer in Houston who holds Pocket Shot events to benefit RPM. Looking for photos of/with your pets, check out Robyns page!
