Today Dr Grace and her dog Lenny went to visit a Grade 3 class at Taroona Primary School. We learnt about how to tell if a dog is friendly, how to approach dogs safely and how to help your dog to be relaxed at the vet. Lenny showed off some tricks and got a lot of cuddles from everyone! The class has been learning about life keys to success like Organisation, Confidence, Persistence and Getting Along. We talked about how useful these skills are when working as a vet. The students asked some fantastic questions about life as a vet and about their own experiences with animals. Everyone seemed to have a great time, especially Lenny! If you would like Lenny and Dr Grace to visit your school, please give us a call! We love to do this as a community service at no cost. Classes are also welcome to visit the hospital for a tour. We are looking forward to seeing some of the pictures the kids are going to paint of Lenny and their own pets. Thanks for having us, Taroona Primary!
