Today Ducks, I am remembering my dearest Grandad West and wearing my poppy proud. I never got to meet my Grandad Alert West, he died of cancer before I was born. But he met my Nanny during the war. He was in the RAF and he spent 4 years in a POW Camp after being captured. I have seen his profile, he did need a haircut after being captured bless him!! I also read the letter he wrote to his mummy when his camp was liberated by the Russians and it is heartbreaking to think or the horrors he went through and what he witnessed. And I am proud of him. I am proud to be his granddaughter, and I try to live a life that makes me happy, for him. Because he was at war, along with millions, who gave their tomorrow to give us our today. Wear your poppy proud Britons.
