Today Ethan is six years old! I had planned not to tell him. We did this on his fourth birthday and celebrated it at the beach instead a few days later. For some reason, the child who remembers better than an elephant cant remember the date of his birth! Anyway, we had planned to celebrate his birthday next week, so we werent going to mention today was the big day. But Geoffrey Giraffe from Toys R Us called to wish him a Happy Birthday and left a message on the answering machine at home! He thought good ol Geoff was calling to wish Grandma Happy Birthday! Of course, Grandma fessed up and admitted it was his birthday, not hers. He doesnt seem too worried about it right now, but the day is young!
