Today I am going to cover Five basic components that should make up the core of a bugout bag. I say core and basic components because your bugout bag can be as detailed as you want as long as you can still be combat effective. First and foremost atleast Three days of water. This is your supply each bag should meet the three day mark. Second: Three days of food. Three : Several different ways to start a fire example magnesium bar, matches, lighter etc.. Four: some type of shelter rather a pancho or camo tarp. Five: some type of machete or hatchet one for self defense and two to cut fire wood. I always include some small fishing gear, medical kit, canteen cup to boil water. Several hundred feet of Paracord and spare socks and boots and change if clothes. Several other itwms are included to be able to survive several extra days if needed til a site can be built or to make it to my site where I have other gear and equipment available. Always plan and inventory your items. Know where they are located like you med kit should something happen. Be safe and never stop improving
