Today I am reflecting on the wonderful Christmas I had with my Kennedy family...we were missing some but were connected by phone calls and our purple butterfly who was watching over all of us. The best moment of the morning was my Dad receiving his gift from all of us. My sister Colleen had a plaque made for my Mom last year to help her focus when things got tough; for her to know how much she was loved and cherished by us all. This year, she had us all give input for my Dad. He has been so strong for everyone of us and has never stopped leading us, despite his pain and sadness. This gift comes from our heart- to let our Dad know that we are loved and supported by him, that we gain strength from him and that its okay to be supported by us. No step of our journey over the past two years has been easy...but it is what it is and we are moving forward one tear, one laugh, one hug and one first at a time.
