Today I am thankful for my mother. On this day some years ago a little Chinese and White baby was born in the Bronx to a short order cook from China and a housewife. The road was not easy for her and still isnt-but she used her pain to raise me to be the woman I am today. She taught me how to be strong, she taught me about the importance of compassion and independence. She gave me my love of music (dancing to records when I was little ❤️) and acting like a goof ball lol. She encouraged me to speak, to ask questions, and to always look it up! Lol I attribute who I am today to her, and though not perfect I am pretty damn proud of her and the job she did. If I ever become a mother, I have big shoes to fill. I love you Mom. Happy Birthday!
