Today I eventually granted tenure to myself. I run a private, self-funded one-man research lab, so I decide who gets tenure or not. Nevertheless, after doing my due diligence and reviewing my own application (submitted to myself), I eventually decided that I deserved it, based on publications and other results. What a great and long expected day! I feel so happy - after all these years I am finally tenured :-)
