Today I experienced something that broke my heart.. While I was at work, a man and woman pulled up with a young man in the back seat. The woman stepped out of her car to walk in alone, and the man driving started throwing a fit saying for her to take the young man in the backseat in with her. She started throwing a fit, saying the gentleman was an embarrassment. After they continued exchanging words for a few minutes, the woman jerked the guy in the back out of the car. The young man waved at me and gave me the biggest smile ever. As the woman and the young man come back outside, he comes over to me and tries to speak and shake my hand. The woman jerked him away, not saying a word, and shoved him into the backseat, yet again. This young fella had down syndrome.. to see the way he was being treated just about made me sick. He obviously had such a beautiful personality and soul, and was being treated like dirt. Smh.
