Today I head to Alabama to say my final goodbye to one of the most amazing men Ive ever known. Donald Marshall Prince, my Uncle DonDon. I was always his Diney. I watched him play football in high school when I didnt even know what was going on. He was always there to remind me my mistakes in life were not mistakes. He drove thru a hurricane when I was pregnant to take me to his house in case of premature labor, let me bury him the sand at the beach and even taught me to be a smart ass like him. He was there for the best times of my life; from the day I married Larry Pilsbury, thru the labors and deliveries, at the hospital of Tanya Jardine and Larry Pilsbury II. He was even there thru the worst times; the loss of Billy Rich and Jane Prince Rich. He helped me keep my life together. I will miss you DonDon. I know youll suffer no more. Have fun with your brothers and sisters and keep them in line. I live in the memories and the joy that some day Ill see you again. God is our Refuge and Strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
