Today, I "leaned in" by telling my Boss, exactly what sucked about my job, what sucked about our interaction and what I needed from her, to grow as a professional. She listened and then told me her feelings about her management of me and my work. It was candid convo but we were honest with each other, respectful in our language and solution focused. At the end of our convo, I was tasked by my Boss to create my own job description for my next role, set up 1:1 meetings w/ every VP I wanted to know and keep a documented record of my contributions so she can be more active in marketing my talent value within in this Fortune 500 company. She then told me that my contributions thus far have afforded me the option to do whatever I wanted, I just needed to choose it. UNBELIEVABLE! With a humble spirit, I accept this favor from the Lord. #welllookatgod
