Today I met a revert. Well, I guess you cant really call it that because they were small when they had the transition into Islam. There were a billion questions that I threw to this person and Elhamdulillah, although I was incredibly shy at first, they answered all of them with clear/detailed responses. The one thing I have to admit though is I still havent been able to shake off my shock even though 3 hours have passed. I learned a new lesson today, everyone has a story. And until you hear them out there is no way you have them all figured out! This aussie bloke changed my heart, because I cant remember a time in my childhood where my parents didnt take me out for Eid celebrations. Or when I had to pass off as a vegetarian because I couldnt eat the food my mum/dad put on the table due to halal restrictions. All this time while Ive been counting down seconds to iftar, this amazing strong-willed person has been waiting 2+ hours to eat with their family. I know most of us take for granted what we have and the lives we live, but I pray to God that you all meet one person who can make you feel the way I do. I have a very special place in my heart for you, and I hope you win eternal happiness. Youre in my prayers xxx
