Today I pulled up in front of the gym and sat in my car for 45 mins praying and worshiping, I did it so long that I fell asleep. I woke up and it took everything within me to go inside. Not because I didnt want to go in but because life had weighed so heavy on me that I felt like I had already worked out. I cant describe the feeling. It was like my strength was gone, not physically, but my spiritual strength was gone from not hearing from God after so much prayer. I did go inside. I put on my worship music and did legs and did a lot of thinking, just lost in my own world. Then As I finished a guy came up to me. I see him in the gym quit often and hes typically very quiet and doesnt speak much. He came to me and said you should smile like you usually do. I told him I was deep in thought and had a lot going on. He then asked me well, do you know Jesus? I said yes I do, Ive been worshiping him throughout my workout. He told me, well, if you know Jesus then you should know you dont have anything to worry about. Hes taking are of it. Then he asked me to look at his phone and there was a scripture. He said I dont know if this pertains to you but its the scripture of the day and it might be meant for you to see The scripture was James 1:2-6 which reads, 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Even more beautiful..... Message Bible version reads 2-4 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.5-8 If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves This was no ordinary encounter from a man in the gym who never speaks, it was The Lord assuring me he heard me. I kept asking for direction and he graciously sent someone to give that to me..... Be patient I share this with you because I believe that revealing our struggles to the world and holding the Father accountable for his Word will in turn show the world his power once he shows up with deliverance. When you see him show up in my life youll know and Ill know that only by his grace I made it. His power will be evident. There will be no denying, The Lord is real! Watch him rescue me.. Just watch!
