Today I remember my grandfather, William R. Sinclair, who served - TopicsExpress

Today I remember my grandfather, William R. Sinclair, who served in the Navy in WWII. I know not much about his war times except for that he was at the Beaches of Normandy, which I heard about through my mother. He did mention a pet turtle that kept him company in the morning while he shaved but liked to shield us from the darker bits. I thank him and others for their service that has helped shape the country I live in today. He was an honorable man who went on to become a husband, father and grandfather. I have fond memories of painting with him in his art studio, visiting the court houses with him where he served as a Supreme Court Justice and having him coach me at billiards in his basement. He was influential in my studies in French and I also recall him sitting beside the piano to listen to me play, with his eyes closed. ❤️love you, grandpa!
