Today I thought I would touch a little on how this disease not just affects the one fighting it but the family by their side fighting it with them. Heres a couple of pictures of Autumn with her siblings. This disease has affected all of us in different ways, but the one way its affected all of us is by the fear of not knowing what tomorrow brings. We have learned to adjust our lives around Mito & Mito has changed our lives forever. This disease scares them, makes them sad, makes them cry, but it has also taught them to appreciate others better, not be mean to others who are different, & how to no matter whats going on in their life to still love. Today was a hard day for them. With what happened to Autumn it made us realize as a family this disease IS progressing & we all know we HATE it. The tears in the a couple of my kids eyes as they left for school worrying about their sister is never good, but, they need to be somewhere they can still be kids. They love Autumn so much & fight for her just as hard as Autumn, her dad, & I do. So for day 4 of awareness week my awareness is the affects it has not just on our Autumn but on our family itself. My kids are just as strong as she is to continue the fight that they do & for that I am proud of them.
